Feature Friday: Greg Plitt
Greg Plitt is a fitness legend that will be remembered forever. His workout and motivational videos will pass his story along and inspire millions for many years to come. He was a fitness icon, personal trainer, retired Army Ranger of 5 years, and motivational speaker. This great man was always positive and not only did he train people all year round but he was created his own workout plan, MFT28 which is featured on www.Bodybuilding.com, and he appeared on covers for Men's Fitness, American Health & Fitness, Muscle & Fitness, Men's Health, and many many more. Tragically Greg Plitt died January 17, 2015 in a train accident while filming a new video for his page.
I encourage everyone who needs a little extra push each day to get going to go and watch his motivational videos they get me every time or if you’re looking for new ways to spice up your workouts, look some of his up. I have nothing but respect for this man and I aspire to be like him in many ways. Due to his positivity and work ethics he was extremely successful even though he didn’t compete in Physique or anything. Besides being a fitness model and personal trainer he was a sponsored athlete by a great company called MET-Rx and he was awarded athlete of year from MET-Rx in 2012 for his great workout plan.
Two of my favorite quotes from Greg Plitt are:
“ Second by second you lose the opportunity to become the person you want to be, when are you going to stop making excuses and take charge of your f***ing life?”
“Stop going about the day as a servant, become the master, run your day and stop letting it run you.”
Greg Plitt inspires me today still, anytime I need more motivation to work harder, keep to my diet without cheating, or push cardio more he is one of the first people I look to. At times his words hit home so hard they send shivers down my spine, go check them out. One of my life mottos that I’ll leave you with: “Average is NOT acceptable”.
