Broccoli is another vegetable loaded with vitamins and minerals that are very healthy for our bodies.  This vegetable is one of my favorites, I can incorporate it into my diet in a lot of ways.  I would classify this vegetable as a superfood due to its large amount of vitamins and minerals, not to mention it is also a natural diuretic.

Even though broccoli has a lot of vitamins and minerals it also has a small amount of protein and healthy carbohydrates that help power our bodies’ through the day! Broccoli consists of Vitamin A, Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Pantothenic acid, Vitamin B6, Folate, Vitamin C, E, K, also Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, and a little bit of sodium.  As you can see this vegetable is almost as good as a Multi-Vitamin pill, it’s cheap and it’s convenient to eat even raw it is definitely something that should be added into your daily diet and that is also why it is a superfood and in my books an essential.

Broccoli is also a natural diuretic and I eat it every day to help keep me lean and healthy.  I alternate 1 cup of broccoli into my diet every other meal starting with my second meal in the day, I have a total of 7 meals a day so I will either eat it raw or sauteed at least 3 times a day besides other great vegetables like corn, asparagus, and spinach leaves.  Another convenient trick that I do with this vegetable like all my vegetables is that I add Cinnamon, Cayenne Pepper, and Chili Powder, which all have natural fat burning qualities, while cooking my veggies.  Even with my premade meals I add those 3 spices to my veggies before I heat my meals up.  There is always little healthy tricks to spice your diet up you just have to get creative with your cooking and diet!
