White potatoes are one of the healthiest vegetables and carbohydrates that should be consumed on a daily basis.  The white potato is loaded with vitamins and minerals and has a wide range of health benefits too.  This vegetable is very easy to cook and can be made in a variety of ways that are healthy as well as delicious.

The potato has many health benefits and is one of the few vegetables that can be a staple of vitamins and minerals which can be substituted for a pill multivitamin.  This vegetable has large amounts of: vitamin B6, potassium, copper, vitamin C, manganese, phosphorus, fiber, vitamin B3 and pantothenic acid.  Potatoes are exceptionally low in calories and high in fiber which helps fight cardiovascular diseases and cancers.  Potatoes also help lower Blood-Pressure naturally.  The biggest benefit of this vegetable comes from Vitamin B6.  Vitamin B6 is involved in over 100 chemical reactions all over the body.  Many of the building blocks of protein and amino acids require Vitamin B6 for their synthesis.  Our bodies’ cannot recover and grow stronger unless we provide them proper nutrition and Potatoes are one of the biggest keys to success.

Most people consume this vegetable through french fries and potato chips.  Even baked potatoes have large amounts of fat due to the added extra butter, cheese and sour cream.  Take all the bad things away and you have yourself a super food on your hands.  I like to grill my potatoes the most, I add cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and chili powder to increase my metabolism and burn excess fat.  I basically add those three spices to all my food even though I do not really enjoy spicy food the cinnamon mellows the spiciness of the chili powder and cayenne pepper.  If you fry your potatoes in a skillet use coconut oil to keep the negative fats and calories out!  If you take the time to find little tricks in your diet any diet is achievable with hard work!
